35 West is owned and managed by husband and wife team Carl (me) and Emma.
We have been married almost seven years and during that time we have travelled a lot of Europe. It was on these trips that we often spoke about owning our own bar/coffee shop. Earlier this year we took the leap and decided to do it!
35 West is a licensed coffee bar selling speciality Hundred House Coffee and Bird and Blend Tea. We also stock bottles and cans from some of the most amazing local and international breweries; from Tiny Rebel to The Hop Shed as well as a collection of Belgian Beers - with an ever changing stock!
As well as these we have a host of premium spirits as well as beautiful wine and of course our (soon to be) famous cocktails!
We have over two thousand second hand books in the shop all of which have been carefully curated by Peter Hadley, a local book collector and dealer. The books include everything from antique non fiction to paperback fiction titles.
As well as the main shop we have a beautiful courtyard area where you can sit and enjoy your coffee or beer. The shop is also dog friendly - you could even ask us for one of our “Pupaccino”.
Each day we have a fresh supply of cold serve treats that includes; cakes, sausage rolls, cruffins and pastries (all sourced locally).
We are open Tuesday - Saturday 8.30am - 5.00pm and we open Sundays 10.00am - 4.00pm.
We also open one evening per week for coffee and cocktails. (This night changes so please follow us on social media to keep updated).
